Located between the the busy cities of Flint and Saginaw, Clio offers a place to relax, enjoy a bite to eat, and have some fun outdoors. Pronounced "Cl-eye-oh", the city was named in 1864 by Colonel Hill and is now home to approximately 2,500 people. The city's restaurants and gas stations are popular with I-75 commuters seeking places to pitstop for fuel and food.

Trails in the Clio Area

Clio and Vienna Township have several interconnecting paved trails that can be used biking, walking, jogging, and roller-blading. The trails are eight-foot wide and have either a concrete or asphalt surface. The total mileage of the George Atkin Jr. Recreation Trail, Pine Run Pathway, Trolley Line Trail, Vienna Road Pathway, and Linden Road Pathway is close to 10 miles in length.

Trailheads are located at Jennings Road, Wilson Road, and Neff Road. You can also park at Clio City Park to access the trail system.

Each of the trails offer different types of scenery. The Trolley Line Trail follows the route of some railroad tracks between Field Road and Willard Road. The Pine Run Pathway and the George Atkin Jr. Recreation Trail are located close to Pine Run Creek and meander through wooded areas and city parks. Vienna Road Pathway and Linden Road Pathway follow along city streets and are close to several restaurants and stores.
