Hawk Island County Park

Located in southeast Lansing, Hawk Island County Park is a large, beautiful park with a swimming beach, a playscape, Splash Pad water playground, picnic shelters, horseshoe pits, and volleyball courts.

A paved trail winds around the park, past the playscape, picnic shelters, and swimming lake. The trail is used primarily for walking and jogging. Hawk Island Park is a short distance from the Lansing River Trail.

During the summer, you can rent a rowboat or pedal boat and navigate around the lake.

During the winter, the sledding hill at the back of the park is a popular destination on snowy days. A warming house is open during the wintertime when the park is open.

The park usually closes a half hour after sunset.

There are many other great parks in Lansing worth visiting.
