Other Parks and Trails

• Houghton-Baraga Bike Route - East of Michigan Tech's campus, there is a wide, paved shoulder along US-41 that can be used by bicycles. The route goes from Houghton to Chassell and Baraga.
  
  
• Hancock Attractions, Parks & Trails - Just across the Portage Canal, Hancock is a town full of history. The town has a very nice paved trail for biking, walking and jogging during the warmer months and for snowmobiling during winter.
  
  
• Baraga and L'Anse Parks & Trails - Baraga State Park is a popular camping area on L'Anse Bay. L'Anse Waterfront Park and Village of Baraga Municipal Marina also have great views of L'Anse Bay. Cyclists can ride along the narrow road shoulder on Pequaming Road between L'Anse and Pequaming.
  
  
• Hancock-Calumet-Lake Linden - Routes for biking, snowmobiling, and hiking from Hancock to Calumet and Lake Linden.
  
  
• Calumet and Laurium Parks & Trails - Calumet and Laurium have numerous historic locations and attractions to visit. F.J. McLain State Park is a scenic recreation area that is only a short distance from Calumet.
  
  
• Copper Harbor Parks and Trails - Copper Harbor is a popular destination at the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula.
  
  
• Porcupine Mountains State Park - A beautiful state park with miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing. Lake of the Clouds, Summit Peak, and many waterfalls are also favorite attractions.
