Piers Gorge is southeast of Iron Mountain, near Norway. The Piers Gorge section of the Menominee River is very popular for whitewater rafting.
The trail next to Piers Gorge offers beautiful scenery.

The bike route at City Park uses the park's drive and a dirt trail to reach Westwood Avenue.

In downtown, the bike route uses an alley near the railroad tracks.
The bike route along Milwaukee Avenue uses the road shoulder.

At Industrial Park Drive, you can go east from Milwaukee Avenue towards US-2/US-141. The shoulder along Milwaukee Avenue ends at Lehman Road.
