Petoskey State Park has a very nice sandy beach on Little Traverse Bay. The park has campgrounds and hiking trails, the Old Baldy Hiking Trail and Portage Trail. The park is accessible from the Litle Traverse Wheelway. The beach is a great spot to look for Petoskey Stones.
