• Waterloo Recreation Area - West of Chelsea, the recreation area has trails for hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing. There are also several lakes for fishing and kayaking.
  
  
• Pinckney Recreation Area - The recreation area has many trails for outdoor adventures. There are also several lakes for swimming, boating and kayaking.
  
  
• Lakelands Trail State Park - The Lakelands Trail State Park stretches over 20 miles, connecting Gregory, Hamburg, Pinckney and Stockbridge.
