Miles of paved trails crisscross around Holland, Michigan. With its easy access to Lake Michigan beaches,
community parks, shopping, and restaurants, the trail system presents a great way to get out and have some
fun. The trail system connects to a
route to Saugatuck
trail to Grand Haven.
During the spring, the annual Tulip Time Festival features music, entertainment, parades, and food.
The streets and boulevards in Holland are lined with numerous varieties of colorful tulips as part of the
Holland State Park is a popular destination during the summer months. With its beautiful view of
Lake Michigan and Holland's lighthouse and large sandy beach, the state park is a great family getaway.
The park has a large modern campground off of Ottawa Beach Road, a short distance from the
beach. Unless you have an annual state park pass, you will need to purchase a state park permit to park
your car in the day use parking lot.
Other attractions in Holland include Windmill Island, Dutch Village, and Westshore Mall. Holland also has a nice shopping district in downtown.
