Fred Meijer M-6 Trail Maps and Information





The Fred Meijer M-6 Trail runs parallel to the M-6 expressway, connecting the Paul Henry Thornapple Trail to Kent Trails. The paved trail runs on the north and/or south side of M-6. To get around the cloverleaf interchange that links M-6 and US-131, you will need to use a sidewalk route to rejoin the paved trail.

The trail is used for bicycling, jogging, roller-blading, and walking. You can access restaurants, stores and a movie theater on Kalamazoo Avenue. Village Bike Shop is a block north the trail at 60th Street and Kalamazoo Avenue if you encounter a problem with your bike.

Nearby Trails

The East-West Trail goes from Division Avenue east past Kalamazoo Avenue, connecting with the Paul Henry Thornapple Trail. The trail is paved, with a section that is a wooden boardwalk. The trail can be used for biking, walking, and jogging.

Paul Henry Thornapple Trail is a popular trail that goes through Kentwood and Caledonia. The trail is paved for the most part and is used for biking, jogging, rollerblading and walking. The Paul Henry Thornapple Trail connects to the M-6 Trail.

Kent Trails is well used for biking, walking, jogging, and rollerblading. The lengthy trail goes from Byron Center to Grand Rapids.

The Grand Rapids area has many bike trails, as well as museums, parks, and attractions.
