Cities Along the Pere Marquette Rail Trail

The Pere Marquette Rail Trail extends from Midland to downtown Clare. The trail then restarts on the west edge of Clare and then extends to Baldwin. In the map below, the trail is shown in green.

From spring through the fall, the paved trail sections from Clare to Midland and from Farwell to Reed City are frequently used for biking, walking, and jogging.

The section from Baldwin to Reed City is used for mountain biking and hiking; the trail is gravel (and sometimes narrow with grass), which makes it a little more challenging.

During the winter, the span from Baldwin to Farwell is popular with snowmobilers.
